finally got around to making a finished artwork for The Last of Us Part II. Ellie looked absolutely stunning in the thumbnail for the new trailer so I had to paint it! completed with watercolor, gouache, and watercolor pencils.
So I just started replaying The Last of Us because of reasons and took some shitty photo mode shots of the following devastating little details (while screaming silently into the void):
Sarah has a guitar and an amp in her room. Joel has a case in his, too, and another acoustic in the living room. Because of course he taught her to play. <stuffs fist into mouth to stifle sobbing>
But what else is in Sarah’s room? ONLY A MOTHERFUCKING GIRAFFE YOU GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKERS <rolls on floor in agony>

Not sure why this one fucked me up so bad but here it is. On Joel’s nightstand, an article entitled: Everything You Need to Know About Creating A Startup. You guys, he was trying to make a better life for him and Sarah. He was trying, y’all… <melts into puddle of existential pain>
And finally - this one might be a bit of a stretch - but why is Joel’s phone background a snowy forest scene if not to torture us with precursors of the whole Winter debacle? <and I’m dead, goodbye, tell my family I love them>
i would do anything for neil druckmann and naughty dog tbh. also, bless them for being continually supportive of the community even with such toxic backlash (just look at some of the ugly comments under his tweet)
…And I’m already like : “Wow…” at the hundreds bigoted comments I read online about it (I mean…what am I expecting ? It’s the internet). One thing, however, caught my attention even more than other stuffs :
So, I don’t know if you guys know but I’m a massive video games fan, ‘k ? And one of my favorite studio is “Naughty Dog”. Said Naughty Dog posted a new profile picture on Facebook, of their logo but with the pride flag…So many people got mad about that, insert all the homophobic comments there you know, the usual…EXCEPT, that many of us pointed out that more than one Naughty Dog characters are gay.
Ellie and Bill in The Last of Us for exemple…and you know what those motherfuckers answered me ? They ignored Bill, of course. And said about Ellie : “How is she gay ? She just kissed her best friend because she missed her” or “oh my god a 14 years old kissing her friend in the next game her hair will be shaved blahblahblah she’s surely a lesbian” (with a level of sarcasm that is called “You’re just an asshole”) and shit like that, trying to argue against Ellie total gayness BECAUSE GOD FORBID A MAIN CHARACTER IS GAY !!
Dude. Neil Druckman, the amazing creator, said himself she was full on lesbian. Though I do have to agree about just missing her friend, I’ve been away from home for a year now, and when I’ll be back, I’ll surely TOTALLY MAKE-OUT with my best friend because I missed her…*sarcasms overload*. It’s so ridiculous and stupid. Like dude. DUDE. Why can’t you just roll with it ? Why can’t you just accept the facts ? This isn’t something we’re pulling out of our ass you know, and “Naughty Dog” supporting Pride Month isn’t a surprise at all…
Eh. At least I guess it’ll clean up the bad seeds eh ? Anyway. Now I’m mad.
